AT BATTERY CREEK WINS “2007 BEST IN AMERICAN LIVING
AWARD” FOR COMMUNITY UNDER 150 UNITS
Presented by Professional Builder magazine and the National Association
of Home Builders Design Committee, the 2007 Best in American
Living (BALA) winners were named at the 24th Annual BALA celebration
held February 12, 2008 at Sea World in Orlando, Florida. These
awards represent the most prestigious competition in the home
and community building industry.
Overlook at Battery Creek located in Beaufort, South Carolina
and along the tidal creek and marshes of Battery Creek, developed
by PEC Development Group in Atlanta, Georgia with assistance
from Edward Pinckney and Associates, land planners, Allison Ramsey
Architects and Dominic Tringali Architects was selected as 2007’s
best new home community with home sites under 150. With a focus
on outdoor living spaces, attractive amenities, bold colors,
homes on a human scale, and art-like streetscapes, Overlook clearly
caught the judge’s eyes.
